One of the top prospects in the state of Mississippi, Duckworth, from Taylorsville, High School, has already visited Ole Miss and Mississippi State. In January, he has visits scheduled for Auburn (1-11) and Southern Miss (1-25).
Does the big (6-4, 293 pounds) defensive lineman have a leader?
"It is Auburn," said Duckworth. "It has always been Auburn. Jason (Campbell) is family. He is my cousin. I can play defensive end or tackle there and it is nice to have someone there you know.
"I know that (John) Lovett and (Noel) Mazzone are gone, but that really doesn't matter as long as Coach (defensive tackles coach Don) Dunn is there. I would say Ole Miss is number two on my list."
Tiger Ticket Extra: Dunn is the Auburn assistant coach who is recruiting Duckworth, who attended a summer camp at Auburn. Dunn also recruited Jason Campbell...Very informed sources have told Inside the Auburn Tigers that Duckworth is an All-American caliber signer, too, who is a star in a school play in which he signs and dances with grace.
Not so tiny Tim Duckworth.
