Tray Blackmon Comments On Visit to Auburn

The blue-chip linebacker prospect from LaGrange, Ga., checked out Auburn's victory over the Georgia Bulldogs. He is seriously considered both colleges and one more.

Does Auburn Win Effect Five Star LB? LaGrange, Ga.--Tray Blackmon of LaGrange High School is a national recruit who took an unofficial visit to the Plains of Auburn this weekend. Blackmon has had Auburn and Georgia on top of his list for a while now. Is he ready to name Auburn as his leader after their impressive victory over the Georgia?

"I would still say Georgia and Auburn are even," Blackmon said on Sunday night. "Every time I go to one of those places, I leave with that team as my leader so I would call them even right now. I am not going to know until I take my official visits."

Tray Blackmon is known as a big hitter.

What did Blackmon like about his trip to the Plains? "Man, it was all great. The fans, the atmosphere and the game, too. Auburn is one of the best teams in the country.

"Every time I have been on a visit and see the atmosphere and fans, it makes me want to suit up and go play."

Are Auburn and Georgia the only places Blackmon will visit? "I know I will visit those two, but possibly Florida State, too," he says. "I am not sure yet."

Does the five-star linebacker have any visits set up right now? "Not yet, but I will have them set up as soon as my season is over. I hope to have my visits complete within the first two weeks of December, and then commit on Countdown to Signing Day."

A lot of rumors have been swirling about Blackmon making a pledge to the Auburn Tigers this weekend, and Blackmon comments on that.

"I definitely did not commit this weekend and I am not even close yet," he notes. "I am really trying to find something to separate these schools. Everything is great about Georgia, Auburn and FSU. I go to one place and leave with them as my leader, then go to another place and have the same feeling. I would say Auburn may have a slight edge, but I know it is just because I was there last. This one game will not have any effect on my decision."

Does Blackmon have any other unofficial visits set up? "I am going to try and be at the Florida State/Florida game this weekend and then I'll be at Georgia for the Georgia/Georgia Tech game on November 27th."

This Georgia Peach is one of the top overall players in the country and it looks like he will have his decision within the next month. It looks like whatever school has the last visit with Mr. Blackmon may have the edge.
