Heavily Recruited OL Says Tigers Are His Leader

The football recruiting report has comments from a prospect who was at Auburn this weekend for an official visit.

Albany, Ga.--Big offensive tackle Troy Reddick is definitely a high priority recruit for the Tigers and other colleges. The 6-6, 310-pounder from Westover High School took his official visit to Auburn this weekend and says he likes what he saw.

"I found myself getting along with the players because they are pretty much just like me," Reddick says. "I like the area. I really did. The academic advisers answered a lot of my questions about the major that I plan to go into, which is building science."

Reddick notes that he was leaning heavily to Georgia Tech until the coaching change took place last month. That opened it up," he says.

"With all of the coaching changes, Auburn is my number one," he says. "I still plan to play the recruiting game and take the rest of my visits. I have got a visit to Georgia Tech next weekend and then Florida right after that. I will probably make my decision right after my final visit." He also took an official visit to Clemson last weekend and says he enjoyed that trip.

Offensive lineman Monreko Crittenden was Reddick's player host. "I had a lot of fun," Reddick says about the weekend.

Tiger Ticket Extra: A good student, he has literally been recruited by colleges from coast to coast including schools as far away as Stanford...Auburn is also recruiting his teammate, fellow offensive tackle Kurt Quarterman, who was also on the AU campus for an official visit this weekend...His nickname is "The Big Engine."
