One of South's Top DTs Visits Tigers

Auburn's recruiting visit list featured a lot of high-profile big young men.

Tyrone, Ga.--One of the South's top defensive line prospects was in Auburn for an official visit this weekend and had a good time.

That is the word from Leroy Golston, father of Sandy Creek High School star Kedric Golston.

The visit was Golston's third official trip and his father accompanied him on previous stops at Georgia and Tennessee.

Kedric Golston missed half of his senior season due to an injury.

The elder Golston says his son, who is a 6-4, 260-pounder, is not ready to make a college choice, but says the Tigers are in the picture. "I am not sure if he is going to take any additional visits. That is something we will discuss."

Tiger Ticket Extra: Golston was in a serious car accident during his senior season and had a steel rod inserted into his leg to stabilize his broken femur. His father says the big defensive tackle has made great progress. "The leg is fine now," Mr. Golston says.
