Mike Williams is one of Competitive Edge Sports' major clients for the 2005 NFL draft class. The big wide receiver, who tried to enter the 2004 draft after his sophomore year at USC in 2003, was not allowed to do so. He was on hand to check out the action.
Tim Hawthorne from Homewood High is expected to be one of the top wide receiver prospects in the South for the class of 2006. He measured in at 6-3, 190 and ran a very quick 4.65 40 on a slow surface with a tight watch while wearing basketball shoes.
One of the most impressive physical specimens at the Scott Kennedy CES Combine was Greene County, Ga., High's Lionel Mapp. Mapp measured in at 6-5, 370 pounds and it's very easy to tell from looking at him that the huge offensive lineman carries the weight extremely well.
Another impressive physical specimen at the combine was Bo Harris from Heritage High in Georgia. He measured 6-2, 190 and ran a 4.65 40. Harris plays defensive end and running back for Heritage, but could play a myriad of positions on the college level. He is also already hearing from Auburn and he says that he is interested in the Tigers very early in the recruiting process.
