There were not a lot of drills that took place at the combine due to near freezing temperatures and drizzle outside, however, the quarterbacks did get a chance to work on throwing some short routes with the wide receivers. Here Tim Hawthorne looks a ball back into his hands for a catch that bounced off of his hands the first time he tried to catch it.
Another big offensive lineman who was on display at the combine was Baldwin High's Maurice Hurt. Hurt measured in at 6-2 1/2, 332 pounds. The lineman will be one to watch his senior season and should be among some of the top names in the South for the class of 2006.
Juniors were not the only talented players who made their way to Duluth for the event. Caleb King is a very talented sophomore running back from Parkview High in Lilburn, Ga. King measured 5-11, 185 pounds and ran a 4.64 40which was a great time on the surface the prospects were running on, even though he was disappointed with the result.
After the camp was over former Southern Cal star receiver Mike Williams decided that he wanted to have fun with some of his trainers and they got into a vertical jump competition. Williams won easily even though he hadn't warmed-up at all and had been standing around for a couple of hours watching the action at the combine.
