Tigers Add Kicker in 2005 Signee Class

Zach Kutch made it offical and signed a national letter of intent to play for Tommy Tuberville's Tigers on Wednesday.

Milton, Fla.--Kicker Zach Kutch of Milton High School has made it official and has faxed in his national letter of intent to play football for Auburn.

The graduation of kickoff specialist Philip Yost left a hole on the Tigers' special teams and Kutch, who got his start in kicking as a soccer player, is likely to fill that role as a freshman. John Vaughn handles the field goal duties for the Tigers and Kody Bliss handles the punting.

Kutch was perfect on all of his field goal attempts inside 49 yards as a senior and all but three of his kickoffs went for a touchback, with two of those being onside kicks and the other one being kicked from the 20 yard line after a penalty. During his junior and senior seasons he made 52-55 extra points and 24-33 field goals with a long of 54 yards.

Kutch said that he committed to the Tigers because both he and his parents believed Auburn just felt like home. Kith also added that he had even become a bit of an Auburn football fan over the past couple of years along with a few of his friends.

The talented kicker chose the Tigers over Navy and Air Force among others.
