Gonzalez, a 6-6, 295-pound offensive tackle, played offensive and defensive tackle in high school for Hialeah High just outside of Miami. A dominating senior season had schools contacting Gonzalez throughout the season, but he remained solid with the Tigers.
He becomes the second player from the school to sign with Auburn in the last two years, joining cornerback Anthony Campbell.
Gonzalez committed to the Tigers after attending a camp in Auburn during the summer. He took his official visit to check out the Tigers on Nov. 11, the weekend Auburn beat Georgia 24-6.
