Highly Regarded Lineman Picks The Tigers

Auburn coaches received good news when an out-of-state lineman signed with the Tigers.

Albany, Ga.--The Auburn coaching staff received good news from Westover High on Wednesday when offensive tackle Troy Reddick signed with Auburn.

The 6-6, 310-pounder picked Auburn over Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida and others.

Troy Reddick will be wearing orange and blue this coming season.

Auburn has been in good shape with the big offensive tackle since he took an official visit to AU on Jan. 18th-20th. "I found myself getting along with the players because they are pretty much just like me," Reddick said about Auburn. "I like the area. I really did. The academic advisers answered a lot of my questions about the major that I plan to go into, which is building science."

Nicknamed "The Big Engine," he is a good student at Westover, he had offers from colleges as far away as Stanford in the Pac 10. Reddick notes that he was leaning to Georgia Tech until the coaching change took place last month. "That opened it up," he said. <
