Hoover, Ala.--Athletic Neil Caudle, from Spain Park, is one top recruited quarterbacks in the southeast. Caudle is holding seven impressive offers, and is ready to name his early top five.
"I have offers from Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Michigan, and LSU," Caudle says. "I would say my top five right now, in no particular order, are LSU, Auburn, Louisville, Michigan, and Georgia. I don't have an overall favorite."
Caudle is a hot commodity because of his combination of size, arm and speed, but only two schools have stopped by Spain Park during spring evaluation.
"Coach (Terry) Price and Coach (Tommy) Tuberville from Auburn have both been to the school," he says. "Coach Loeffler from Michigan has also made a visit to the school. Coach Price (Auburn) and Coach Loeffler (Michigan) have been the only two coaches to call me."
Spain Park will host a spring game against Clay-Chalkville. The only problem is that Caudle remains a question mark for the game because of his recovery from knee surgery last fall.
"We will play Clay-Chalkville next Friday," he notes. "I am not sure how much I will get to play because of my knee. The coaches don't want me to risk anything. I might play, but I don't know for sure yet."
When asked about an early commitment, Caudle says that he's not sure that will happen. "I really don't know right now. It could probably go either way. I am not sure what I will do."
Caudle plans to attend camps at Auburn, Michigan, Louisville, and LSU this summer.
