Auburn had a load of talented players at their Senior Mini Camp on Saturday. Here is just a small look at some of the action from the weekend.
Cordera Eason showed up at a trimmer 230 pounds, and with the 10 pound drop in
weight, he picked up better than a tenth in his 40 time. His 4.47 at 230 pounds
rivals Chris Wells as one of the most impressive physical specimens in the
country. Here Eason shows off his good hands on a route in the flats.
Eason turns the ball upfield after making the catch. Eason is a member of the South
Marcus Sims made the trip up from Tallahassee, and like he has at previous
camps, Sims worked out with the running backs. Sims is a member of the South
Sims kicked it up a notch on a hot day in Auburn. He turned in a 4.51 forty time
on his second and fastest attempt.
Sims is obviously big enough and fast enough, but he also showed off terrific
hands as Eason looks on.
Derrick Odom was one of the most impressive looking players regardless of
position. The linebacker is in excellent condition. Odom is a member of the South
Did we mention that Odom was in great shape?
London Crawford was part of an impressive contingent that made its way up from
Mobile. Crawford is a member of the South
Jacques Rickerson brought teammates Brandon James and Quinton Hancock with him
from St. Augustine. Rickerson and James were standouts at the camp, while
Hancock was a spectator. Rickerson is a member of the South
Just as he did at the Scout.com Combine in April, Jermarcus Ricks worked out at
defensive tackle. Just as he did in April, Ricks stood out at Auburn's camp on
Saturday. Ricks is a member of the South
Tim Rawlinson of Prattville showed again why he is one of the most heavily
recruited linebackers in the south.
Fred Munzenmaier is a big fullback from Norcross High School in Georgia that
helped his stock with a good showing.
Martez Smith was one of the most impressive campers at the Scout.com Combine in
May, and he turned in huge numbers again at Auburn. He ran a 4.6 forty and had a
37 inch vertical jump.
Rob Drum of Spain Park was an impressive looking offensive lineman. Here he is
seen getting some instruction between drills.
No one has blocked Dekoda Watson in any camp this spring, and they still
Sims wasn't the only standout from North Florida Christian to make the trip,
Carlton Salters is a member of the South
Danny Carmichael has been impressive at several camps this summer, and he has
some good offers to show for it.
Bryan Morgan of Hoover tunes up at Auburn's camp as he and his Buc teammates
prepare to defend yet another State Championship.
Vandaral Shackleford made the trip over from Riverdale High School in Georgia.
He helped add depth to an impressive group of linebackers at Auburn.
Bart Eddins showed up at Auburn's camp after making a commitment to the Tigers.
Eddins is a member of the South
One player that doesn't have to worry about any aspect of his recruitment is
Class of 2005 signee Gabe McKenzie. McKenzie is up to 235 pounds and hopes to
get his first shot at tight end.
