Top 2 as Florida WR Returns from Auburn Camp

Alex Rose has received over 20 offers at this point in the recruiting year. The 6'2 and 180 pound Wide Receiver from First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida totaled 43 receptions, for 940 yards, and 11 touchdowns in his junior season. He returned from Auburn's Senior Mini-Camp and came away excited about the experience.

"I loved the whole the camp," said Alex Rose. "I loved everything about Auburn. I had a great camp. I performed well. It seemed like the coaches were impressed with what I did. It was more competitive than any camp I've been to."

Rose attended summer camp at Clemson a few weeks ago. Are there future plans for camps this summer?

Next weekend I'm going to South Florida. That will be a 7-on-7 camp. I might have some more camps I'll be at. I'll have to think about that."

Who leads for Rose?

"My leaders are Clemson and Auburn right now. I'd say Maryland, NC State, Florida State, South Carolina, and North Carolina are the others. I have offers from all these schools except Florida State."

Rose has great things to say about both Auburn and Clemson.

Auburn: "It seems like everybody is on the same page there. It's a team atmosphere. They kept Cadillac (Carnell) Williams and Ronnie Brown their senior years. They must be doing something right up there."

Clemson: "I like the wide receivers there. I like how their coordinator calls plays from the line. It really confuses defenses. It seems like you can score a lot of points in that type of offense."

What are the goals for Rose in his senior season?

"I want to make the playoffs and win a state championship. The stats will be there as long as I continue to work hard."

Rose will compete in sports year round in his final year of high school.

"In basketball I play Small Forward. I averaged about 12 points and 5 rebounds last year. This year I'll be running the quarter (400 meter dash) in track. I want to stay busy the whole year."

Rose wants to major in Engineering in college. This will factor in his decision. Will it be Auburn or Clemson on signing day? Stay tuned.
