Former Tiger Star Wins Pro Golf Tournament

Newnan, Ga.--Former Auburn All-American Diana Ramage made her pro debut an impressive one by winning the Yamaha Georgia Women's Open golf tournament.

Ramage, who helped Auburn win the 2005 SEC title, shot an 11-under-par total of 133 to take the title on Wednesday at White Oaks Country Club.

Another Auburn golfer, Margaret Shirley who will be a sophomore for the 2005-2006 season, finished fourth with a three-under-par 141. Shooting even par 72 on the first day of competition, Shirley shot 69 on Wednesday.

Ramage, a native of Fayetteville, Ga., who hopes to qualify for the LPGA tour later this year, won $2,000 for finishing first.
