Tigers Announce Updated Football Depth Chart

Auburn, Ala.--Following the second major scrimmage of spring training, Coach Tommy Tuberville ordered a reshuffling of the football depth chart.

The Tigers, who will practice through the annual A-Day spring football game on Saturday, April 6th, are taking three days off and will return to the practice field on Wednesday.

Daniel Cobb, who completed 18-37 passes for 237 yards in the Saturday scrimmage, has pulled even with Jason Campbell in the battle for the starting quarterback spot. Campbell hit 15-25 passes for 119 yards. Campbell passed for three touchdowns and threw one interception. Cobb was intercepted once and passed for one touchdown. Each QB directed the offense to three scores against the No. 2 defense.

"I was really proud of Daniel how he was picking up things," Tuberville said after the scrimmage. "He made more plays than Jason made."

Also on offense, Mark Pera has been flipped from the strong tackle to the weak tackle and Ryan Broome is moving from weakside tackle to the strongside tackle. Also on the offensive front, redshirt freshman David Walker has moved ahead of sophomore Nate French at weak guard.

Mark Pera (69) is running first team this spring.

On defense, the experiment of Junior Rosegreen is going well. He is listed as the No. 1 strong safety after making the move there from cornerback last week. Rashaud Walker, who was running No. 1 at strong safety, is running number two at strong cornerback.
