After injuring his right knee in a game against Oak Mountain the standout was taken for a MRI to check the damage, but his father said that the results won't be known until Sunday. He did say that Dr. Larry Lemak was at the contest and said it appeared to be an ACL injury after checking it out.
If that is the case it will be the second-straight season Caudle has injured a knee. Last season he tore the ACL on his left knee in a game against Hoover, but made a strong recovery heading into his senior year.
In his first game back last week Caudle threw for 209 yards and rushed for 50 more, accounting for four touchdowns, in a victory over Auburn High School. If it is in fact an ACL injury Caudle's season will likely be done.
Although he'll be wearing a brace on his right knee, Caudle will attend Saturday night's Auburn-Georgia Tech game as planned. He will be one of a group of over 100 prospects in attendance for the game.
