Katrina Victims Invited to AU vs. Ball State Game

Auburn, Ala.--Hurricane Katrina evacuees temporarily living in Lee County as well as anyone from the Gulf Coast counties of Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia, Conecuh, Monroe, Clark and Washington can attend Saturday's football game vs. Ball State as guests of Auburn University.

Those wanting to take advantage of the university's offer can enter through gate 12 on the northwest side of Jordan-Hare Stadium. They need to show a valid driver's license to take advantage of the offer. Ball State," AU Athletic Director Jay Jacobs says. "In these difficult times I hope that Saturday's game can be an enjoyable diversion to those who have been impacted by Hurricane Katrina."

Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. as the 1-1 Tigers take on the 0-2 Cardinals from the Mid-American Conference. This is just the second meeting between the two teams in football. Auburn was a 30-0 winner in 2001.

Auburn was a 28-0 winner last week vs. Mississippi State while Ball State fell 40-31 to Bowling Green.
