Current Jay Jacobs (right) was one of the speakers at the ceremony. In four decades at AU, starting as a student, Housel did a variety of projects for the university such as being editor for the gameday football program.

Auburn's band members warmed up the tailgaters early Saturday morning before Auburn's victory over Ole Miss.

Former Tiger football players Ben Thomas and Steve Wallace were stars in the 1980s for Pat Dye teams. Wallace, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the '49ers, was introduced to the crowd at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
