Fans Warned Of Possible Counterfeit Tickets

Auburn, Ala.--Fans purchasing tickets from a third-party for Saturday's Iron Bowl game between Auburn and Alabama are advised to buy with caution.

Recently counterfeit tickets have begun to circulate for Saturday's game, making it necessary for fans to get tickets checked before purchasing outside the stadium on gameday.

There are three distinct security measures in place on each ticket including (1)a security foil that contains a distinguishable hologram; (2)a pink tint to the inner layer of the ticket when torn; (3) a security watermark on the back.

Tickets obtained from sources other than Auburn University or the University of Alabama may not be valid and in such cases with not be honored. Any person buying a ticket from a third party does so at his or her own risk.

Tickets purchased from a third party may be checked for authenticity by Auburn ticket office reprensentatives before 4:30 p.m. on Friday at the Auburn Ticket Office or on the second floor of Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.

Kickoff for Saturday's game between 8-2 Auburn and9-1 Alabama is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and can be seen on CBS.
