Tigers Order More Bowl Tickets

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn has requested and will receive more tickets to the Capital One Bowl Game after selling its allotment of 12,000.

Capital One Bowl officials have predicted a sellout for the Jan. 2nd game matching the 9-2 Tigers of the SEC vs. the 9-3 Wisconsin Badgers of the Big 10.

"The Auburn people have responded and we look forward to putting as much orange in Citrus Bowl Stadium as we can," Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville said on Friday.

Tuberville's Tigers, who have been off since defeating Alabama to close the regular season on Nov. 19, are scheduled to begin bowl practices next week.

The Tigers defeated Wisconsin in the 2003 Music City Bowl. The only other meeting in football between the two teams was a reglar season tie in 1931 at Wisconsin.

Capital One Bowl tickets are available on-line at www.auburntigers.com, click Tickets. Fans may also purchase tickets via phone at 1-800-AUB-1957, extension 1 or in-person at the Auburn Athletics Ticket Office, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. CST.
