Another Honor For Big Marcus

Auburn, Ala.--Add another All-American honor for Auburn senior offensive tackle Marcus McNeill.

On Tuesday he was named to the Associated Press All-America team. Over the weekend he was selected to the Football Writers Association of America All-America squad and had previously been named to teams selected by the Walter Camp Foundation and Sports Illustrated.

McNeill was a key player in Auburn's 13-0 team last season as well as the 9-2 2005 squad.

Marcus McNeill broke into the starting lineup as a true freshman.

McNeill and his Tigers will return to the practice field on Thursday to begin preparations for their Capital One Bowl opponent, the Wisconsin Badgers. That game will be played Jan. 2nd in Orlando.

McNeill, who has been invited to several postseason all-star games, won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the SEC's top blocker for the 2005 season. He was named All-SEC for a second straight year.

A three-year starter out of Decatur, Ga., McNeill was one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy.
