Major League Baseball:

  • Mark Bellhorn - Played for Auburn from 1993-95. Selected in the second round of the 1995 MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics. Currently with the Chicago Cubs as a third baseman.

  • Tim Hudson - Played baseball for Auburn from 1996-97 after transferring from Chattahoochie Valley Community College in Phenix City, AL. Currently in the starting rotation as a pitcher for Oakland Athletics, Hudson has had three consecutive 10+ win seasons (1999-2001), winning 20 games in 2000.

  • Scott Sullivan - Played for Auburn from 1991-93 as a pitcher. Selected in the second round of the 1993 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds. Currently a relief pitcher for the Reds. Has led the major leagues in appearances each of the last two seasons.

  • Frank Thomas - Played baseball for Auburn from 1987-89. Also played football for Auburn at the tight end position. Selected in the first round (seventh pick overall) of the 1989 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. Currently the Designated Hitter for Chicago White Sox.

Minor League Baseball:

  • Colter Bean - Played baseball for Auburn from 1996-2000 as a relief pitcher. Signed a free agent contract with the Yankees in 2000. Currently with the Tampa Yankees (A) as a pitcher.

  • Chris Bootcheck - Played baseball for Auburn from 1998-2000 as both a relief and starting pitcher. Selected in the first round of the draft in 2000 by the Anaheim Angels - the fourth Auburn baseball player ever to be a first-round pick. Currently with the Arkansas Travelers (AA) as a pitcher.

  • Eliot Brown - Played for Auburn from 1995-96 after transferring from Wallace State Community College, in Dothan, Alabama. Selected in the sixth round of the 1996 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Currently with the Shreveport Swamp Dragons in the Texas League.

  • Gabe Gross - Played baseball for Auburn from 1998-2001 as both an infielder and outfielder. Also played football for Auburn as a quarterback, starting six games in 1998. Selected in the first round of the 2001 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. Currently with the Tennessee Smokies (AA) as an outfielder.

  • Bryan Hebson - Played for Auburn from 1995-97 as a pitcher. Selected in the first round of the 1997 supplemental MLB Draft by the Montreal Expos. Currently with the Harrisburg Senators as a pitcher.

  • Heath Kelly - Played for Auburn from 1997-98 at shortstop and second base after transferring from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Selected in the 15th round of the 1998 MLB Draft by the Florida Marlins. Currently with the Portland Sea Dogs (AA) as an infielder.

  • Mailon Kent - Played baseball for Auburn from 1998-2001 as an outfielder. Selected in the 30th round of the draft in 2000 by the Cardinals. Currently with the Atlanta Braves' Jamestown Jammers (A) as an outfielder.

  • Brandon Luna - Played baseball for Auburn in 2001 after playing for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod League. Signed with Texas in 2001. Currently with the Rangers' Savannah Sand Gnats(A) as a pitcher.

  • Brandon Mayfield - Played baseball for Auburn in 1999 after transferring from Jefferson State. Selected in the 11th round of the 2000 draft by the Philadelphia Phillies. Currently playing for the Lakewood Blue Claws as a pitcher.

  • Scott Pratt - Played shortstop for Auburn in the 1998 season after transferring from the University of Utah. Selected in the third round of the 1998 amateur baseball draft by the Cleveland Indians. Currently with the Akron Aeros (AA) as an infielder.

  • Dominic Rich - Played infield for Auburn from 1998-99. Selected in the second round of the 2000 draft by the Blue Jays. Currently with the Dunedin Blue Jays (A) as an infielder.

  • Brent Schoening - Played baseball for Auburn from 1997-99 as a pitcher. Selected in the fifth round of the 1999 draft by the Minnesota Twins. Currently with the Twins' New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Club (AA) as a pitcher.

  • Brad Weis - Played for Auburn in 1999 after transferring from Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Florida. Selected in the 28th round of the 1999 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins. Currently with the Sacramento River Cats as a pitcher.

NBA:

  • Jamison Brewer - Played for Auburn from 1999-2001 as a guard. Selected in the second round (33rd pick overall) of the 2001 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. Currently with the Pacers as a guard.

  • Mamadou N'Diaye - Played for Auburn from 1996-2000 as a center. Selected in the first round (26th pick overall) of the 2000 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. Currently with the Toronto Raptors as a center.

  • Moochie Norris - Played for Auburn in 1995 after transferring from Odessa Junior Colege in Texas. Selected in the second round (32nd pick overall) of the 1996 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. Currently a guard for the Houston Rockets.

  • Wesley Person - Played for Auburn from 1991-94. Selected in the first round (23rd pick overall) of the 1994 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. Currently with the Memphis Grizzlies as a guard/forward.

WNBA:

  • Ruthie Bolton - Played for Auburn from 1986-89. Preassigned by the league to be selected in the first round of the 1997 WNBA Draft. Selected by the Sacramento Monarchs. Played with the gold medal-winning U.S. National Team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Currently a guard for the Monarchs.

  • Carolyn "C.J." Jones-Young - Played for Auburn from 1989 - 91. Selected in the fourth round of the 1999 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. Currently a guard for the Portland Fire.
