"The best thing was probably the players. They were real cool and down-to-earth. DeMarcus Tyler, they call him 'Tank,' he was my host. He's a cool guy."
Roseman had visited Rutgers in December, as the Big East school offered him a scholarship early in the process. How did the two trips compare?
"I liked the NC State visit better," said Roseman. "The players were real cool up there and they let me know how it is."
Roseman led Dunedin (FL) High to a 7-4 record as a senior, as he tallied 72 tackles, 12 sacks, six pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. Standing 6-foot-4, and 240-pounds, he is physically ready to play defensive end as a true freshman and already fully qualified.
With NC State losing starting defensive ends Mario Williams and Manny Lawson, the Wolfpack mentioned he may have a chance to play right away should he ink with them in February.
"They need somebody that can step up and contribute," Roseman said. "That's what they have been telling me. I'd love to play early. It's not the main thing, but if it's there I'd definitely take it."
With offers from Rutgers, South Florida, Auburn, South Carolina, Central Florida, and NC State among others, Roseman has his share of options. He has trips remaining to Auburn (1/13), South Florida (1/20), and South Carolina (1/27), but did hint at the possibility of making a decision after his trip to Auburn.
"I don't know if I'll take all my visits," he said. "I may be ready after that one to Auburn. They are my favorite and after them it's NC State, so after I see what it is like there I can compare it to my North Carolina State visit and make a decision."
What does Roseman like about Auburn?
"I love the coaches, they are real cool. They have been recruiting me since the spring. I want to see what it is like there next weekend."
