Crowell, who is verbally committed to Auburn, was originally scheduled to visit Clemson this weekend, but he didn't make the trip to South Carolina. Instead, he spent the weekend in Panama City, Fla., with a church group, family members told Inside the Auburn Tigers.
The 6-3, 285 pounder was one of 21 prospects who took official visits to Auburn the previous weekend. As originally planned with head coach Tommy Tuberville in Honolulu coaching in the Hula Bowl, Auburn didn't have any prospects in for official visits this weekend.
Tuberville will be back on the road recruiting immediately and is expected to make an in-home visit on Sunday with Lovejoy, Ga., High lineman Byron Isom along with Tiger offensive line coach Hugh Nall, who recruits that part of Georgia for the Tigers. Auburn has a verbal commitment from Isom's teammate, running back Mario Fannin.
Isom is expected to choose between Auburn and South Carolina.
