"I talked to Kareem Crowell as soon as I got home to tell him about my visit," Francis said of his teammate and Scout.com three-star defensive tackle prospect.
"He told me that he had a great time on his visit," Crowell said of his discuss with Francis. "In fact, he said that he's going to make his decision to go there this week."
Crowell, who verbally committed to Auburn in September and visited Louisville in December, told InsideTheVille.com that his discussion with Francis persuaded him to call the Cardinals head coach.
"I just got off the phone with him," said Crowell. "We talked about them coming down next week."
In addition to the Louisville visit, Auburn - his other finalist – will also make an in-home pitch during the coming days, which could lead to the 6-foot-3, 285-pound Crowell's final college choice.
"Louisville is coming down to visit on Wednesday and Auburn will be here on Thursday," he said on Sunday. "It's down to those two and after those visits my family and I will discuss everything and then I'll probably make my decision next Monday."
Crowell added that the number of players on the Cardinals roster from the Tallahassee area, including former Godby teammate E.K. Sawyerr, may make the difference in his final decision.
"When I went up there for my visit I had a wonderful time and got along really good with the players," he explained. "Plus, they have a lot of guys from the Tallahassee area up there and one of my old teammates E.K. Sawyerr is there. Our other defensive tackle Frank Grimes is committed to going there."
