Big Greg Smith Signs Again

Big lineman Greg Smith signed with the Tigers on Wednesday.

Booneville, Miss.--Defensive tackle Greg Smith has made it official for the seond time by signing another national letter of intent to play for Coch Tommy Tuberville's Auburn Tigers.

The big defensvie tackle prospect originally committed to Auburn on Dec. 11, 2003 and inked his name with the Tigers in February 2004 out of Tyner High in Chattanooga. Smith failed to qualify academically and had to go the junior college route to Auburn by way of Northeast Mississippi JUCO.

Greg Smith will be a big addition in the middle for the Tigers.

Smith became the first verbal commitment of this year's signing class on July 11, 2005 and took his official visit to the Plains on January 27. The 6-3, 315-pounder will have three years to play out his final two years of eligibility.

He is a four-star prospect and is finishing up his school work, one class, at Chattanooga State.
