Mario Fannin has signed with the Tigers.

Lovejoy, Ga.--Mario Fannin, who is easily one of the most talented athletes in the state of Georgia for the class of 2006, has signed his name, sent his fax and is now an Auburn Tiger.

Fannin led Lovejoy high school to a region 4-AAAAA title in 2004 as a junior at quarterback, but is projected to play either running back or safety at the collegiate level.

He will get his first chance at Auburn as a tailback, joining Benjamin Tate as the only two running back prospects to sign with the Tigers' in 2006.

Fannin will be joined in Auburn by Lovejoy teammate Byron Isom, a defensive lineman who (is also expected to sign with Auburn/has already signed with Auburn.

The 5-11, 210-pound Fannin chose Auburn over Florida, LSU and Tennessee.

"I can't wait to get down to Auburn and get started," Fannin said. "I am coming down this summer to get started early."
