QB to Be an Auburn Tiger

Steven Ensminger has signed with Auburn.

West Monroe, La.--Quarterback Steven Ensminger, son of Auburn tight ends coach Steve Ensminger, has made it official and will be an Auburn Tiger.

Ensminger, who was an early commitment to the Tigers in July, led his West Monroe, La. team, where he played as a freshman and a senior, to a 5A state championship behind 1,803 yards passing and 16 TDs to only eight interceptions on 108 completions in 2005.

Between his two stints as a West Monroe Rebel, Ensmiger played his sophomore and junior seasons at Opelika High.

An athletic quarterback prospect, much like the Tigers' other quarterback signee, Neil Caudle, Ensminger is 6-3 and is up to 210 pounds after playing at 185 at the start of his senior season.

He chose Auburn over Miami, Louisiana Tech and others.
