Berry Good to Go For the Tigers

Auburn was looking for help on the offensive line and should get it from this latest signee.

Brentwood, Tenn.--Sensing a need on the offensive line in the future, Brentwood Academy's Mike Berry made it official on Wednesday when he signed his national letter of intent to attend Auburn University.

The 6-4, 300 Berry narrowed his choices down to South Carolina and Auburn before choosing the Tigers.

A big prospect that played tackle in high school, Berry could play that position as well in college but projects as an interior lineman. He will likely get his first shot at the center position with both Joe Cope and Jonathan Palmer seniors next season.

Impressive at Auburn's summer camp, Berry has been a high priority recruit for Coach Hugh Nall and the Tigers much of the recruiting campaign. He plans to move to Auburn early in the summer and begin preparations for the 2006 season.
