Alex Rose Signs With Auburn

A talented wide recevier has signed with AU.

Jacksonville, Fla.--Back and forth and back again was the name of the game for First Coast wide receiver Alex Rose, who committed to Auburn in September, changed to Florida State on January 28th and back to the Tigers' again two days prior to signing day.

However, Rose cannot change his mind anymore now because he has signed his national letter of intent to play for Tommy Tuberville's Auburn Tigers.

Rose, who also had offers from Clemson, North Carolina, Maryland and NC State, racked up almost 1,000 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in a run oriented First Coast offense as a junior and added more than 500 more and five more scores as a senior.

The talented wide out received an offer from the Tigers after he made a great impression at an Auburn summer camp.

He, much like Tim Hawthorne and Chris Slaughter, could possibly see early playing time for the Tigers, who lost three receivers to graduation in 2005.
