The running back from Heritage High in Conyers, Ga., took his official visit to Auburn Jan. 13-15th and then headed to Milford Academy where he is working on becoming academically qualified.
Harris says the game plan is to stay at Milford throughout the calendar year, playing football there in the fall.
"I plan to enroll for classes at Auburn next January," he says. "I got behind academically as a freshman in high school. That was my fault and now I am having to do this to get ready for college. I have got my test score so all I need to do is take care of my classes and I will be back at Auburn ready to go."
Harris, who also plays linebacker, says the Tigers are recruiting him to be a tailback.
A three-year starter at Heritage High, he rushed for more than 1,100 yards as a senior with 17 touchdowns while earning All-State honors.
