"Auburn offered me a full scholarship last Tuesday," said Eltoro Freeman. "They called my coach, and I called them back that day. They told me the offer was in the mail. I have not received it. It should arrive this week."
"I am very happy to receive the offer last week," Freeman said of Auburn's scholarship. "I got really excited when I heard about it."
"Auburn is a really good program. They have great academics, and they have a good team. I like them a lot."
Freeman is shown in action at this year's Junior All-Star game in Troy.
Freeman is hearing from several programs as he shared, "I am receiving strong interest from Florida State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Southern Miss, Louisville, Alabama, Tennessee, Duke and Indiana. I don't have any favorites right now. I am keeping my options open. I grew up favoring Alabama. They have always been my favorite team."
Freeman, along with teammate Jonathan Birmingham, have weekends booked at several schools for Junior Day.
"Jonathan and I will head to Florida State this weekend," Freeman said. "We are going to Alabama March 4 and Auburn March 11."
Freeman recorded 100 tackles and an amazing 52 tackles for loss during his junior campaign. He recorded eight sacks as well from his inside linebacker position.
"I have great instincts," he said. "I always try to make big plays. I read the offense very well."
"I need to work on my pass coverage and my catching ability before next season."
The Junior All-Star game playmaker knows what he will look for in his college choice.
"The most important thing to me will be academics," Freeman said. "Location will be a factor as well, but academics is the most important thing to me."
Freeman will attend the Scout.com combine at the University of Alabama April 29.
