The Tigers and Trojans have scheduled the game in order that each may recover a lost game from earlier in the season. AU had its Feb. 12 game with Florida State canceled due to cold temperatures while the Trojans lost a game with Samford to rain last weekend.
"I think it is very important to give the Auburn people in the Montgomery area an excellent chance to see our young club play right in their neighborhood," Slater said. "I am very excited to have an opportunity to play in such a beautiful ballpark and I hope we are able to do this again."
The two teams just played each other on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 21, with Auburn pulling out a 5-4, 10-inning victory, and were previously scheduled to play on March 28 at Troy. The third game will mark the first time since 1959 that the two teams will play each other three times in one season.
Riverwalk Stadium is home to the Tampa Bay Devil Ray's Southern League (AA) affiliate.
The Tigers take on Elon this weekend in a three-game series at Plainsman Park with the first game scheduled for Friday at 4 p.m.
