Williamson's Nick Fairley is one of the big recruits in Alabama for the Class of 2007. The 6-4, 255-pound lineman is hearing from several schools across the country.
"I have been hearing from Kansas State, West Virginia, LSU, Auburn and Clemson," said Nick Fairley from Mobile, (Ala.). "I really like all of those programs. I like Florida State and Florida as well."
"I really like both Florida and Florida State's football programs. The one in-state school I like is Auburn. I like them because I think they have a good program as well."
Fairley was a standout performer the past two seasons on the offensive and defensive line. However, he expects to play a different position on the next level.
"I am being recruited by most schools to play tight end," he said. "I am currently 6-4, 255 pounds, and I run a 4.6 forty. I've played offensive tackle and defensive end here at Williamson."
When asked his strengths Fairley replied, "I am very good at blocking. That is probably my biggest strength. This off-season I will work on my footwork."
Academics will play a major role in Fairley's decision as a college major has been determined for his future.
"I will look for a college program that has a good engineering school," he said. "That is what I plan to major in when I get to college. I will try to find the best place for me."
Fairley will take the ACT for the first time in April.
He will attend the Scout.com All-America Combine at the University of Alabama April 29.
