Big Junior Tailback to Check Out Auburn

The report has a football recruiting report on a running back from Mississippi who is interested in the Tigers.

Collins, Miss..--One of the best tailbacks in South Mississippi, if not the entire state, is Jonathon Booth from Collins High School. Jonathon had a very solid year in 2005 and is ready to make an even bigger name for himself in 2006.

Who is courting Booth's services? "So far I have received letters from Florida, Mississippi State, Southern Mississippi, Ole Miss and Auburn.," Booth says.

Auburn has also invited Jonathon to attend their Junior day.

The 6-0, 215-pound tailback sports a 4.55 40-yard dash and is known as a workhorse. When asked what his strengths are Jonathon said, "I play hard every play. I never take a play off. I go out there and give it everything I have."

It appears that Jonathon will have plenty of options for his college career, but is he ready to name a favorite?

"Well, I like Florida, Mississippi State and USM; well really I like them all. I couldn't really say I have a favorite right now."

Jonathon said that he expects to play tailback or linebacker at the next level and is open to either possibility.

It appears that the battle for another of the Magnolia sState's finest will be intense. Keep it right here with Scout.com for the latest developments.
