OL Prospect From Mississippi Hearing From AU

A large junior offensive lineman is getting plenty of early attention from SEC level programs.

Taylorsville, Miss.--Taylorsville High School has a player who is receiving letters from schools throughout the region. Which schools are writing Brandon Blackwell?

"I have heard from LSU, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Auburn, Louisville, (Mississippi) State, Harvard, Yale and Rice," he said.

Does he have any that he favors more than the others? "Ole Miss. I have been an Ole Miss fan my whole life, but any SEC school would be interesting. I really want to play in the SEC."

Blackwell sports a 310 max in the bench press and a 600 max in the squat. Besides his physical strength what are his other positive attributes as a player?

"I feel I am a smart player. I am working on getting quicker with my feet."

Brandon (6-3, 310, OT) comes from a great high school program and is expected to have no problems qualifying to play ball in college. It is the same school that sent Jason Campbell and Tim Duckworth to Auburn.
