"I have offers from BC (Boston College), Mississippi State and Georgia Tech," he adds. "Georgia started talking to me after they found out Auburn offered. I've been talking to them a lot more lately."
The 5-11, 202-pound linebacker has made two trips to Auburn in recent weeks to check out spring practice and says he liked what he saw from the Tigers.
"I went to Auburn's scrimmage and then this past weekend I went to their A-Day game," Curran says. "I came exactly when it started. I watched the game, and then when they were in halftime meetings I got to go into the locker room and see what the players do and all that. It was real cool.
"I got to talk to Tray Blackmon and Brad Lester," he adds. "Both of them are from Georgia. I knew Brad Lester from before because he played at the school (Parkview High) that is a rival with my high school. That was the first time I've talked to Tray Blackmon."
"I got to check out the weight room. It was really nice. I got to see where they do the tutoring (at the academic center) and where they watch film and the practice fields."
Curran usually runs track at Brookwood High, but decided this year to focus more on his academics and getting bigger in the weight room.
He adds that although he doesn't want to rush into a decision, he may announce his decision over the summer.
"I'll probably wait a little while," Curran says. "Probably before my senior season starts just to get it over with. I want to take it slow and make sure I make the right decision. Auburn is looking really good right now though, definitely."
