Lineman Looking at Tigers and Tide

An in-state lineman who had a productive junior season is interested in Auburn and Alabama.

Huntsville, Ala.--Buckhorn High's Justin Sanders is a big defensive lineman prospect for the class of 2007.

"I have been receiving a lot of interest from Tennessee, Alabama, Marshall, Memphis, Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State," said Sanders. "My favorites are Alabama and Auburn."

Commenting on Alabama: "I like the location. It's close to home, and Alabama was my childhood favorite."

Commenting on Auburn: "I like coach (Don) Dunn a lot. I like the program a lot. It's in the SEC."

Sanders attended Alabama's Junior Day and said, "I had a great time in Tuscaloosa. Everything was very impressive. I didn't get chance to speak to the coaches.

"I was supposed to go to Junior Day at Auburn, but I had to miss it. I have to take the ACT the day of Tennessee's Junior Day. I plan to camp at Alabama and Auburn this summer."

The 6-5, 270-pound prospect had an impressive junior season recording 122 tackles, 18 sacks and 16 tackles for loss. He was named All-Metro, All-City and participated in the Alabama Junior All-Star game.

When asked improvements before the senior season Sanders replied, "I want to get physically stronger and faster. I would like to improve my sack numbers as well."

Sanders said he holds a 2.9 GPA and will take the ACT for the first time April 8.

Sanders will participate in the All-American Combine in Tuscaloosa April 29.
