Athletic In-State Lineman Has No Leader

Lionel Henderson of Davidson High in Mobile is looking at a variety of colleges.

Mobile, Ala.--Athletic Davidson High lineman Lionel Henderson was in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's A-Day game. He talks about his experience at the Capstone.

"It was all right," Henderson said. "We took another tour of the facilities like we did on Junior Day. They are all very nice.

"I thought the game was high tempo. It was much like our spring games at Davidson. There were a lot of recruits and a lot of fans there."

The 6-4, 280-pound lineman is seeking his first scholarship offer, and he has a lot of schools showing interest.

"I'm still hearing from most of the schools in the SEC," Henderson said. "I have been receiving new interest from Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and LSU. Florida State called my coach last week. They were real excited about me and wanted me to send them a highlight tape."

When asked favorites he replied, "My favorites are Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Everyone is equal."

Henderson plans to visit Georgia Tech this weekend.
