Tall Receiver Drawing Interest From Auburn

A 2007 football prospect from Mississippi is a big target.

Fayette, Miss.--Jefferson County High School's Joseph Kemp is big. A lot of six-foot-four receivers tip the scales at around 185 or so, but not Kemp. Kemp weighs in at 213 and still runs a 4.6 40-yard dash.

Jefferson County likes to throw it around which is just fine with the likeable Kemp.

"I make big plays," Kemp says. "If the team needs a first down or more, I go out there and make things happen."

Auburn, Mississippi State and LSU have expressed some interest in Kemp. "I hear from them all pretty regularly," he says.

"I just got something from Auburn this past Wednesday. I don't really have any favorites. I am just going to see who offers."

Kemp will take the ACT for the first time in June and says that his academics are in order. Joseph says that he works very hard in the classroom.
