Florida DT Prospect Interested in Tigers

This Florida high school prospect is attracting attention from a variety of colleges.

Lakeland, Fla.--Leon Stewart had a strong junior season at Lake Gibson High School last fall. He finished the year with 35 tackles and four sacks.

"I think what separates me is my quickness off the ball and my ability to stay low," Stewart said.

At 6-foot-1 and 260 pounds, Stewart plays with excellent quickness and leverage. Those are just some of the reasons why college coaches are showing early interest in the talented defender.

"I get hand-written mail from Notre Dame, Louisville, FAU and Ole Miss, but they haven't offered yet," he said. "Miami is my top choice, followed by South Florida, FAU, Auburn, Louisville, and Ole Miss."

Stewart plans on attending the Scout.com All-American Combine at FAU on May 13.
