"I went to Auburn yesterday and got a private tour," said Ryan Williams. "We were driven around on a golf cart. They took us around and showed us all the historic stuff in Auburn.
"The visit was better than the last visit to Auburn. I got a lot more one-on-one time, and it was a fun tour. The people were nice, and I met a few players. They all said they liked how I looked, and they thought I was a solid player."
Williams doesn't possess a scholarship offer from the Tigers, but expect that to change after the spring.
"Coach (Tommy) Tuberville is coming down either April 24 or April 25 to my school," Williams said. "He and coach (Will) Muschamp plan to come to my spring game.
"Coach (James) Willis was real upfront with me about why they haven't offered me. He said they had not seen a good highlight tape because the one my coach sent out was fuzzy. He said that was the only reason they had not offered, but they are going to watch me this spring. He said I am very high on their list, and they didn't have a cornerback with blazing speed like me."
Williams came away from the Plains with a different feel than the A-Day game and stated, "It's a wide open race for me right now. Auburn really impressed me yesterday. I am going to be looking more at them now. They moved up on my list."
The elite prospects in the state of Alabama are looking forward to the Scout.com All-American Combine in Tuscaloosa April 29. Several of the top players are gearing up for each other and look forward to the friendly competition.
"Christian (Smith, wide receiver Huffman) and I have been talking on the phone with each other," Williams said. "We are both ready to go up against each other. I've been waiting on this for a long time. I am ready."
Stayed tuned to Scout.com as the combine is fast approaching for these elite prospects.
