RB Dwyer Becoming a Hot Football Prospect

The Kell High star is looking at Auburn and other colleges.

Marietta, Ga.--One of the nation's top running back prospects is Jonathan Dwyer from Kell High School. Dwyer, 6-0 and 205 pounds, rushed for 1,898 yards and 23 touchdowns last year as a junior.

"I have good vision, I accelerate through the hole and have breakaway speed," said Dwyer.

His offer list is up to 18 and it's an impressive list.

"I am open right now and I like Florida, Oklahoma State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, LSU and Ohio State. They have all offered but Ohio State.

"I like coach Meyer and Florida's staff. They have tradition, environment and I love the Swamp.

"Oklahoma State is a place where I think I will fit in. I also have a great vibe with Coach Luper, their RB coach.

"Georgia Tech is close to home and I am real close to that coaching staff. I also like their academics.

"Georgia is the home town school so to speak. They have tradition, have always produced great backs and they are in the SEC.

"Auburn has a tradition of running backs as well. My mentor is Brent Fullwood. He has helped me a lot and he works with my dad.

"I like coach Miles at LSU. They have great facilities and they have a great athletic program.

"Ohio State has the horse shoe, tradition and to play running back there you have to bring it every day.

"I would like to play my freshman year, but I understand that I may need to red-shirt. I am just looking for another home… a place where I can fit in and feel safe so to speak. But the main thing I am looking at are academics."

Dwyer carries a 2.9 GPA and recently took the SAT and ACT and is awaiting his results. This summer he hopes to make unofficial visits to Oklahoma State, Ohio State and LSU and attend some one day camps.
