Florida Receiver Names Auburn His Leader

Matt Clements talks about his offers and names Auburn as his early leader.

Naples, Fla.--Matt Clements is coming off a huge junior season at Barron Collier High School in Naples, Fla. In a 10-game regular season, Clements had 50 receptions for 726 yards and six touchdowns.

"I just play the game the way it's supposed to be played," Clements says. "I just get it and run as fast as I can. It works."

At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Clements has all the tools to be an impact player at the college level. He already has five Division I scholarship offers.

"I've been offered by Auburn, South Carolina, West Virginia, Ball State, and Iowa State," he notes. "Really, it's out of South Carolina and Auburn."

The talented receiver, who will compete in the state track meet this weekend, talked more about his two favorites.

"Auburn's number one and that's really where I wanna go," he says. "They offer me a chance to play early and I like the program and the location. South Carolina has a really good track team and they throw the ball a lot."

Clements plans on attending the Scout.com All-American Combine at Florida Atlantic on May 13.
