Tigers In The Lead For Standout LB

Big linebacker Josh Bynes talks about his recruiting and which team is in the lead at the moment.

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.--Josh Bynes is part of a tremendous upcoming senior class at Boyd Anderson H.S. in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The talented middle linebacker, who had 147 tackles as a junior last season, likes what he sees so far in practice.

"Our D-Line is looking great and you know that makes me happy," Bynes said. "The better job they do up front, the more plays I can make. I play behind some good players up front, too."

Bynes, whose team plays Miami Northwestern in its spring game on May 18, is now up to 11 scholarship offers.

"I got four more recently," he said. "The new ones I got are from Tennessee, Southern Miss, UCF, and South Carolina. My top five right now is Auburn (offer), Georgia, Miami, Tennessee (offer), and Iowa."

One school definitely has the current lead for the talented linebacker.

"Auburn's at the top," he said. "I really like them. They're coming at me hard and they've offered me and Patrick (Grant) and Moses (Jenkins). We all kinda wanna stay together and go to the same school. We're going up there this summer to see the campus and stuff. It looks real good for them right now."

Bynes and several of his BA teammates plan on attending the Scout.com All-American Combine at FAU on Saturday.
