Spring Football Jamboree Photo Gallery

Six of Alabama's top high school programs converged in Foley for two days of spring football scrimmages. Featured in this gallery are some of the top in-state 2007 prospects in attendance as well as two juniors who will be players to watch in the future.

Hoover linebacker Michael DeJohn was very impressive in the middle of the Bucs defense and could be an interesting player to watch this fall.

Ryan Pugh isn't the only Division I offensive line prospect for the Bucs. Right tackle Patrick Crump is a powerful blocker who looked very good working against McGill-Toolen's Sidell Corley when the two were matched up.

Foley quarterback Roosevelt Byrd is an accomplished passer and also showed good elusiveness outside the pocket. He has an early offer from Mississippi State.

Byrd's top receiver is big junior Julio Jones. A speedster at just over 6-2, Jones will be one of the South's top receivers for 2008.

Theodore junior tailback Demetrius Thomas is an explosive running back that showed every facet of the game during the spring scrimmage situations. Playing against Daphne he had 113 yards rushing on just seven carries and a 70-yard touchdown scamper.

Another top junior is running back Reggie Hunt from Daphne. After playing cornerback as a sophomore for the Trojans, Hunt moved back to tailback this spring and looks to be, along with Thomas, at the top of the running back charts for 2008.
