Speedster to Attend Auburn Football Camp

A prospect whose stock is rising after a strong showing at a combine is beginning to draw attention from colleges. One of his early favoarites is Auburn, where he plans to attend a summer football camp.

Dacula, Ga.--Cole Brodie was one of the biggest surprises at the recent Scout.com Combine in Atlanta. He put up outstanding numbers and a few colleges have started to take notice.

"I've talked on the phone with a few different colleges like Eastern Carolina, Tennessee Chattanooga and Vanderbilt," he said. "I've gotten some other things from Air Force, Brown University and some other small colleges."

Choosing his five favorites, Brodie said, "I like Vanderbilt, Auburn, Valdosta State, West Georgia and Eastern Carolina."

Dacula High made a surprising run to the final four last season and Brodie is optimistic about their shot in '06 as well.

"Spring was awesome," he said. "We lost a bunch of seniors so we had a lot of young kids come up to fill positions. I was really happy with what I saw once we padded up."

Where will he camp this summer?

"I'm going to be going to the Auburn camp this summer as well as the Vanderbilt camp. I'm still looking around and if I find one that interests me, I'll go there also."
