South Alabama Receiver Picks Up More Offers

Wide receiver Brandon Gibson continues to see scholarship offers arrive. He discusses that subject and his plans to visit campuses for summer football camps as well as his plans on how he will announce his college choice.

Mobile, Ala.--UMS-Wright's Brandon Gibson is one of the elite receivers in the South for the class of 2007. Gibson has received over 10 scholarship offers, and he has a list of favorites. He has decided where he will announce his college decision.

"I don't really have a time-frame as to when I will make my decision," Gibson said. "ESPNU has asked me to make my commitment on their show. I am going to do it but, I don't know when.

"I will probably narrow down by choices to two or three by the end of my senior season. My favorites still remain the same. Nothing has changed."

Gibson informed Scout.com in his last interview his favorites were Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech and LSU, and the offer list continues to grow.

"I believe the last offers I received were from West Virginia, Arkansas and South Carolina," he said. "I know I am up to 12 offers.

"I feel like Florida is pretty close to offering me. I think Florida State may be close to offering me as well."

Gibson has two camps scheduled and may attend others as well.

"I am going to mini-camps at Alabama (June 10) and Auburn (June 11)," he said. "I have no clue about anything else right now. I will have to check my Mom's schedule before I plan anything else."
