Pugh Sets Date For Commitment

Alabama's top offensive line prospect has been hearing from schools all over the country and has decided to put an end to his recruiting when he makes a public announcement later this month at Hoover.

Hoover, Ala.--Expected to be a player that would get things over before his senior season began, offensive lineman Ryan Pugh is going to do just that as he told Inside The Auburn Tigers that he plans to make his announcement at a ceremony on June 29 at Hoover High School.

A 6-3, 275-pounder and one of the South's top linemen, Pugh visited Auburn over the weekend with his family to check out the competition at Auburn's Senior Camp. Saturday night Ryan along with his father Tony spent much of the night watching as Hoover teammates Patrick Crump, Kerry Murphy and Josh Chapman all went through one-on-one drills at the camp.

A former standout at Spain Park High with Auburn signee Neil Caudle, Pugh played center as a sophomore and moved to tackle as a junior. He is expected to play center for the Bucs this season and that is his position on the next level.

On Sunday the family took in the sights of the campus and toured several buildings. Of particular importance was the academic building to the family because of its importance to an athlete's future at Auburn.

Pugh will make his announcement on the day of Hoover's 7-on-7 Tournament on the Hoover campus as local television stations and reporters are expected to be in attendance. Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Oregon and Tennessee are the schools that Pugh will choose from.
