Summer Workout Photo Gallery Three

More scenes from summer football workouts are featured in this gallery. This is part three of a series we will be running throughout the summer as the Tigers head into two-a-days to begin preparations for the season opener against Washington State.

Linebacker Will Herring has added a good bit of muscle to his frame since spring practice. He is making the from free safety to strongside linebacker.

Another player who has bulked up is tight end Gabe McKenzie, who is up to 255 pounds. He has gained more than 30 pounds of muscle in the past year.

While he's not getting as much early attention as fellow guard Tim Duckworth, senior Ben Grubbs is one of the top players at his position in the SEC and is poised for a strong senior season.

Defensive lineman Josh Thompson throws a one-man sled out of the way as he works on rushing the passer. He is expected to take over for T.J. Jackson at noseguard.

A player who has slimmed down is senior cornerback Montae Pitts, who weighs less than 200 pounds for the first time since his freshman season.

Fullback Michael McLaughlin looks very good as he continues his recovery from a knee injury suffered last fall. He will try to win the vacant starting fullback job that was handled last year by Jake Slaughter, who is trying to make the roster of the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs.
