Jordan-Hare Construction Photo Gallery 4

With the start of the 2006 football season less than two months away there is plenty of work being done at Jordan-Hare Stadium in preparation for the upcoming season. Inside are shots of the latest upgrades in and around the stadium.

The gates to Jordan-Hare Stadium are all new and adorned with the AU symbol.

The new parking deck located where the old Sports Arena and Student Activities Buildings were located near the Southeast corner of Jordan-Hare Stadium is almost ready to open. It should help alleviate some of the parking concerns around campus and will be used for gameday parking for high-priority ticketholders.

To help with the traffic flow leaving the stadium there is a new exit ramp being installed on the Southwest corner of the stadium. It will be open only after games and exit onto Donahue. With the new ramp, fans can go directly from the westside upper deck to the ground without merging with pedestrian traffic exiting from the lower sections.

This is the entrance to the new plaza that will be located on the West side of Jordan-Hare Stadium. Extending up and back from the entrance will be an awning to cover the plaza area in case of rain or heat.

Each entrance on the plaza will have section numbers located in the triangle decorated with the Auburn logo.

Replacing the old asphalt concourses around the stadium is a new concrete surface that looks considerably better and cleaner.

A new scoreboard is being placed on top of the North end of Jordan-Hare Stadium. It is scheduled to be ready for use around the first of August. The crane in the background is at a different campus construction site.

Construction crews are preparing to install the facia video boards on the front of the upper decks. They will be 4 feet deep by 200 feet long and have scores and stats running continuously throughout the game.
